Introduction

For Blue Archive (Global) update on 7/25 which added Operational Plan: Nisir's Summit Event along with the Mika banner and upcoming Megu and Kanna banner they also added 3★ Student Guaranteed Ticket (Attack Type). This ticket is in 3★ Guaranteed Recruitment (Attack Type) Pack, which you must pay for. In this blog post, we'll delve into the details of this feature and discuss its implications based on the shop notice on 7/25/23.

Contents of the 3★ Student Guaranteed Ticket (Attack Type)

First off, I like how they did tickets this time around compared to how they did 3★ Student Guaranteed Ticket, which I mentioned in a different post. It works similarly to how other tickets worked by the first nine rolls in the pack function normally, offering a chance of obtaining 1★ to 3★ students, while the tenth roll guarantees a 3★ student but all types of attack damage will be the same. Doing it this way will cut down the probability of getting the character you would like or at least get the damage type you are lacking. Buying the pack also gives Pyroxene which you can spend on rolls on other banners. Now I will go into each of the different banners that you can pick from.

Explosive

The 3★ Student Guaranteed attack-type banner for explosive damage type, the odds of getting the singular character that you want is 1/23 which is about a 4% chance. This will only have characters of the striker and special roles that does explosive damage.

Piercing

The 3★ Student Guaranteed attack-type banner for piercing damage type, the odds of getting the singular character that you want is 1/25 which is a 4% chance This will only have characters of the striker and special roles that do piercing damage.

Mystic

The 3★ Student Guaranteed attack-type banner for mystic damage type, the odds of getting the singular character that you want is 1/17 which is about a 6% chance. This will only have characters of the striker and special roles that do mystic damage.

The Choice

Since there are multiple choices, and it works similarly to Fate/Grand Order's Guaranteed Summon, you can only pick one. Therefore, you must make the choice of which one to roll on. The methods you could go by are meta characters, missing damage type, or characters you like.

Let us start with the missing damage type as it is easiest to explain. This will sort of bleed over to meta choices but if you did not have a lot of particular damage type or have a lot of meta character of type you can pick a banner of that type. A player that just started the game doing this will help an account out as it would make it so you would not need to upgrade weaker characters or if you missing a character damage type completely. Along with that you only roll that damage type so you will fill your account with the damage type.

For the meta pick to help your account, it may be still a bit hard as the odds are still not favorable if you just want one or three characters in the banner. The mystic does have some favorable choices but piercing and explosive do too. There are no limited-time characters in the banner to try to lean on to narrow down the pick. So it will come down to either missing damage type or high-risk roll for a meta character or characters. Though meta can change with time so character may not be as strong as newer characters that may be coming out in the future.

For a character you like is probably not recommended unless high drop rate of the character you want on a banner or if it banner also would fill the needs of meta characters or missing damage type. As 4% to 6% are not high odds.

For example, if you were trying to focus on PvP the mystic or piercing pick would be good choices. Why mystic is because any PvP team will need some sort of mystic damage normally as the higher you-go person most likely has Kasuga Tsubaki which needs mystic damage. So if you could get Iroha or Haruna would be extremely valuable. For piercing getting Iroi, Karin, Marina, or Midori would help and you might also get Tsubaki if you do not have her. As Tsubaki is one of the most valuable low-star students for PvP in Blue Archive. If you end up picking the explosive banner then Shun, Hina, Hibiki, Mashiro, Nodoka (H), or Saya would help out.

Conclusion

Overall, I prefer this banner type, though it still has an issue of low roll chance, it offers better odds than the previous banner. But the ability to have more choices is always better and this will help account for starting out more. Good luck if you are rolling on the 3★ Student Guaranteed Ticket (Attack Type).
